Proof That Rain Doesn't Ruin Your Wedding Day at Baddow Park House
I say it to couples all the time and I'll keep saying it: a bit of rain on your wedding day is not a disaster. Becca and Jack's February wedding at Baddow Park is exactly the proof I need.
It rained. And then, just as they said their vows, the sun came out. They still got their confetti moment, they still got their portraits in the gardens, and the cherry blossom trees that were just coming into bloom gave us some of my absolute favourite images I've taken at Baddow Park. That soft pink against the grey sky, the wet paving with petals scattered across it — it was genuinely beautiful.
One of the things I love about winter and early spring weddings at Baddow Park is that the venue comes into its own indoors too. The interiors are so gorgeous that we did all the group shots inside, which honestly made the whole thing feel really relaxed and easy for everyone. No one's freezing on the lawn, no one's rushing. It just works.
Becca and Jack were so lovely to be around all day. Really chilled, really present, and the speeches were genuinely heartfelt — the kind where you're standing at the back trying not to well up. Live music from the singer during the day kept the energy up beautifully, and the evening was in safe hands with Fox & Braces on the DJ set, who are one of my absolute favourites to have at a wedding.
A really brilliant day from start to finish.
