Jemma & Matt – Ten Years in the Making, a Live Illustrator and a Groom Who Made Friends with the Sheep at Baddow Park House
I don't quite know where to start with this one.
Jemma and Matt's wedding was ten years in the making and honestly, every single second of it felt like a proper celebration of that. Non stop laughs, never a dull moment, the most brilliant energy from start to finish. One of my all time favourite days.
The details were just so good. Colourful flowers bursting with peach, blue and coral, an ice cream bike doing the rounds during the reception, mini golf on the lawn, and a live illustrator capturing guests throughout the day which I thought was just the most brilliant idea. Every single element felt like them.
Baddow Park in June was absolutely glorious and the gardens were the perfect setting for all of it. Garden games, sunshine, happy guests everywhere you looked. And then there were the sheep, who Matt took an immediate and very strong liking to. The feeling was very much mutual.
Carl from SixEight was with me on the day capturing the film alongside the photos, and between us I think we had just as much fun as the guests did. That confetti moment in the sunshine, that dip kiss in the evening light in front of the house — this was a really special one.
Ten years is a long time to wait for your wedding day. Worth every second.
